Oceanfront Restaurants and Recreation in Beautiful Pompano Beach

April 15, 2021

The Solemar condos are ideally located in the “Heart of the Gold Coast,” Pompano Beach.

With a wide variety of new dining options and activities, the sunny city is on the verge of a major transition and has won the title of South Florida’s newest dining and recreation destination.

From savoring local artisan bread and sun-kissed shrimp at Oceanic to listening to live music while sipping on a Vodka Lemonade at Lucky Fish’s tiki bar, there’s always a place to enjoy some good food and eye-catching ocean views.

When you’re feeling stuffed and ready for a walk, the city known for its marinas, offshore coral reefs and beautiful beaches, has plenty to offer.

Right next to the Pier Fishing Village where Lucky Fish is located, is the newly rebuilt Pompano Fisher Family Pier, linking directly to the Intracoastal Waterway. Whether you’re looking to sightsee on the walkway or do some Snapper fishing, you’re in for a great day.

On the north side of the Atlantic, along the shore, stands the historic Hillsboro Lighthouse. A shuttle boat can take you straight to the lighthouse for a tour or you can admire it right from the comfort of your private balcony.

Given the proximity of Pompano to wreck and reef dives, it’s no surprise that there’s an abundance of scuba diving sites and miles of colorful reefs to explore. For beginner divers, visit Shipwreck Park’s S.S. Copenhagen, a 325-foot steamer that sank in 1900 on the way to Cuba from Philadelphia. While more experienced divers can take a deep dive down to a tanker named Lady Luck.

If you’re looking to venture out, Pompano conveniently sits halfway between Miami and West Palm Beach meaning your options are endless.

Only 20 minutes away from Las Olas Boulevard, galleries, boutiques, restaurants and sidewalk cafés are at your fingertips. Nearby to the North is the city of Boca Raton, known for its upscale shops, art museums and jazz clubs.

Closer to home, Pompano has two 18-hole public golf courses that are located less than a mile from the coast.

After you’re done hitting the clubs, there’s nothing like basking in the sun on Pompano’s beautiful beaches which are right outside your door.
